July 4th trip

Stewart and I went on a beach trip with our good friends Robin and Bebo to Dalphin Island--its our annual trip and we had a blast. There isn't much to do on the island except enjoy the beach. We get fresh seafood and cook there and don't ever put on makeup--it's very relaxing!
Happy 4th of July!

Self timer shot

Gross picture!

We caught our own crabs!

Stewart and Bebo setting the traps.

In July (I know I'm very far behind) we went to Chattanooga and the lake with my family. I don't remember the name of the lake but it was in Alabama. We rented a house and had a great time skiing and tubing. Stewart didn't get to go to Chattanooga but he joined us at the lake. I don't have many pictures from there becuase the ones I have involve bathing suits and I'm for sure not putting those pictures up on here :)

Here are a few pictures from the trip:
She loved the lake.

Chilling on the boat! By the way she asked for a boat for Christmas the other day. Hope Santa got that wish becuase I've been asking for a boat for 30 years now :)

Waying to the passing by boat.

The Delta Queen--used to run up and down the Mississippi and my mom says her grandmother used to talk about it all the time. It is now docked in Chattanooga so my mom really wanted to go see it--it was pretty neat!

Chuck E Cheese

So I wasn't going to be the mom whose child always wants to go to Chuck E Cheese but as I am learning....I am going to eat every thing I have ever said when it comes to children! This was our first time to go with our cousins. Parker had a blast and wants to now go all the time. Here are the pictures:

Parker and Abby (my cousin)

Birmingham

We took a trip to Birmingham this summer to visit my sister. Mom went with us and we went to the Zoo on probably the hottest day this summer. The zoo there is great though! You can get really close to the animals (maybe not the animals most natural environment but great for us). They have some different animals than the Nashville Zoo.....we will go back for sure but not in July! Here are some pictures of us sweating!

Oh they had this really fun water play area and Parker loved it!

Pretty cute Giraffe!

And the real one.

You can't see it but there was a HUGE Gorilla in this area.

The rinos!

The train ride---It was on real train tracks and went through and around the zoo--a little different from the new one here. You can see how red Parker's cheeks are---she was getting overheated!

The Kangaroos--we got to go into their cage!

Swimming Lessons

We put Parker in swimming lessons this summer. We were in a class with several friends and their little ones. There were 4 kiddos total in the class and the first two days Parker was by far the worst! She cried and wouldn't let go of my neck. However, by the end, she was better--at least not crying for the entire 30 minute class. After the week of classes we began going to the YMCA and she became pretty fearless in the water. It is so amazing to watch how much and how fast kids change. Below are some pictures that my mom took when she came to observe our lessons :)

With friends Beth, Elliot and Logan.

Listening intently :)

Before swimming lessons...at least she was happy and looked cute before the first lesson but that smile WAS NOT there when we got home!

At the YMCA doing what she does best....snacks and juice!

Memphis for a wedding

Stewart's cousin got married at the end of June in Memphis so we went for a few days of fun in the sun, bridesmaids luncheon and the wedding. We had a great time and got to see some family that we don't see often.

Attempt at a family shot

Emily and Joe and Parker---Parker looks like she belongs to Emily more so than to us.

The day time pool party

Parker loves swimming now (although not so much at the beginning---I'll post about that later)

Random Summer pictures

Here are some pictures of how we have been spending the summer around here. Not a whole lot going on so Parker has spent a lot of time outside playing in the water in her diaper, climbing on anything she can, and throwing an occasional temper tantrum :) So excited about the terrible two's!!!!

The first baby who doesn't get a lot of picture time anymore :(

May 2011

Evidently I didn't take many pictures in May because this is all I can find. We went to Stewart's Mom's Lake House at Center Hill Lake over Memorial Day weekend and here are a couple of pictures "CoCo" took.

CoCo and Parker hanging out

Going on a walk with CoCo and Daddy with her bucket to collect rocks. The girl loves some rocks!!

We went to the catfish pond while we were there. These catfish are HUGE and Parker was scared of them. Needless to say, that didn't last long.

New Orleans

Stewart and I went on a vacation before Easter to New Orleans. I had never been and Stewart had beenfor work but not spent much time exploring the city. I have no pictures of the two of us but here are a few from the trip. It was nice to have some time just to ourselves but we missed little bit. The trip was partly for my 30th birthday and partly because we didn't go anywhere for our 5th anniversery back in August.

This is what you do when you get married in the French Quarter in New Orleans---you have a parade in honor of yourself!!! I totally would have done this and loved every minute of it!

The Voodoo queen or princess' tomb.

The cemetaries...much different than in TN

The trolly

Another parade for newly marrieds.

Final Easter Egg Hunt

More Easter pictures from the Easter Egg hunt at my grandparents house.

Mimi (my mom) and Parker

My uncle's house now but it was my grandparents house and what I grew up going too. It originally was a log home and is over 200 years old and been in the family that long.
